Historically 1/10th ounce of silver was the wage for 1 hour of skilled labor, up to a whole day's wages for an unskilled laborer or common soldier.
Ratio
The historic ratio of gold to silver is around 10 ounces of silver mined for every 1 ounce of gold. This historic 10 to 1 ratio is how the RPH is valued.
Price
The RPH is not priced in dollars, it is valued in gold, which, in turn, is priced in dollars. One RPH is valued the same as 1/100th of an ounce of .999 fine gold.
Adjust
Every Friday evening (Pacific Standard Time) the RPH market price is adjusted to match 1% of the closing price of Gold, as reported via investing.com.
Market
The RPH is always available on the open market via e-bay.
This opens us to 3rd party accountability and review. This gives our clients peace of mind.
